Hello! I’m Tota

II'm an illustrator, designer and animator based in Zwolle. In 2023 I graduated from ArtEZ University of the Arts with a Bachelor's degree in Illustration Design and I've been making art that tries to get under your skin (in the best way) ever since.

My work is about emotion and atmosphere. I'm drawn to the small, quiet moments in people's lives, the ones that are hard to put into words but easy to feel. To capture those, I mix digital and analog techniques, because the two together do something neither can quite pull off alone.

When I'm not drawing, I'm probably deep in a book, rewatching a film I've already seen three times, or reading comics I'll recommend to anyone who'll listen. I get genuinely, embarrassingly enthusiastic about stories, which is why I also write Tota Talks, a monthly newsletter where I dig into the books, films and series that have been living rent-free in my head.
